MEGA CATASTROPHES


Blue Ribbon Commission on Mega Catastrophes The Blue Ribbon Commission on Mega-Catastrophes was formed to: identify the unique challenges of Mega Catastrophes; catalogue the current system of response; propose prevention and mitigation policies; recommend improvements to the response system; and recommend policy changes in public and private sectors to pay for the consequences. Interim reports on Pandemic Preparedness and Katrina Recovery released in Fall of 2006.
