Financial Services Legislation - These are issues directly related to the financial services industry. The Roundtable will actively seek legislative changes. All issues will be considered through the lens of uniform national standards and other core Roundtable principles.

  • Dodd-Frank Improvement Acts
  • Debit Card
  • Cybersecurity
  • Fiduciary Duty/Retirement Security
  • Financial Literacy
  • GSE Reform
  • Insurance Reform
  • Corporate Tax Reform

Regulatory - DFA implementation will be a major priority for the Roundtable.

Reduction of Fiscal Deficit

The financial services industry can prosper only within the context of a strong vigorous economy. Expanding fiscal deficits and federal debt will choke the US economy over time. Therefore the Roundtable will join with other business groups to support reduction of federal deficits over time. This is a priority of the Roundtable as the issue is addressed by the Congress and the President.

These priorities are recommended from recent member survey of the Government Affairs Council, HPC, and BITS.
