Sandra: “You don’t expect to go through this when you are on your third house, but I am glad we took the time to come here today. I was nervous, but I was glad to see that there were plenty of other people in the same boat so I felt better about coming. The folks we worked with from Aurora were great – they had no attitude and just guided us through the process. I want people to know that it takes courage to come to one of these events and I encourage anyone in a similar situation to take advantage of this opportunity if it comes to your city. Even though we didn’t reach a final decision today, we have a much clearer picture of what we need to do to stay in our home and I believe we will be able make that happen.”

Worked with Wells Fargo and Freddie Mac – had been trying since late 2008 to reach a resolution

Provided original documents to Chase in October 2009. Job change forced him to take an income reduction. Chase was able to reduce his monthly payment by more than $1,000 via HAMP trial modification

The bottom line is if you get a letter from your lender asking you to attend one of these events, don’t take it for granted. It’s not a scam and the folks here are trying very hard to work with people like myself who just want to stay in their home.”
