Fred & Sandra – Oro Valley, AZ – Attended 3/8 Tucson Event
Met with Aurora – no onsite resolution, but were impressed by the process and glad they made the effort to attend.
Sandra: “You don’t expect to go through this when you are on your third house, but I am glad we took the time to come here today. I was nervous, but I was glad to see that there were plenty of other people in the same boat so I felt better about coming. The folks we worked with from Aurora were great – they had no attitude and just guided us through the process. I want people to know that it takes courage to come to one of these events and I encourage anyone in a similar situation to take advantage of this opportunity if it comes to your city. Even though we didn’t reach a final decision today, we have a much clearer picture of what we need to do to stay in our home and I believe we will be able make that happen.”
Bob – Mesa, AZ – Attended 3/10 Glendale (Phoenix) Event
Worked with Wells Fargo and Freddie Mac – had been trying since late 2008 to reach a resolution
“We were ready to walk away from our home if we weren’t able to reach a solution today. I spent all day here, but it ended far better than I had anticipated – and was well worth the trip. I was able to reach an agreement with Wells Fargo that reduced my loan by almost $500 a month. I am taking away nothing but positives from this event and I now have some peace of mind.”
Kevin – Chandler, AZ – Attended 3/10 Glendale Event
Provided original documents to Chase in October 2009. Job change forced him to take an income reduction. Chase was able to reduce his monthly payment by more than $1,000 via HAMP trial modification
“I was three months past due when I showed up here today. I worked with Chase and received a HAMP loan modification that is saving me more than $1,000 per month. I changed jobs and suffered some income loss, but luckily I was able to work out my mortgage by attending today’s event – and it took me less than an hour. The bottom line is if you get a letter from your lender asking you to attend one of these events, don’t take it for granted. It’s not a scam and the folks here are trying very hard to work with people like myself who just want to stay in their home.” |
