February 1, 2009
U.S. Bancorp
U.S. Bank employees volunteer for Operation Homefront
During November and December, U.S. Bank employees in the Cincinnati area collected nonperishable food items donated by employees, and partnered with Operation Homefront to create holiday gift baskets for actively deployed military families. Employees at 50 U.S. Bank branches and four corporate offices in the greater Cincinnati area contributed to the holiday gift baskets. More than 400 volunteer hours were spent assembling the 253 baskets that contained nonperishable food items, including 20 baskets with items for babies. The event was organized by the Greater Cincinnati Development Network, U.S. Bank’s employee volunteer network.
The gift baskets were presented to the families of deployed military personnel of the Kettering, Ohio Army base and Springfield, Ohio Air Force base at their respective unit's holiday event in December.
Congratulations U.S. Bank!
