HSBC

HSBC kicked off their Second Annual “Joined Up to Give Back” on June 9 with events benefitting the metropolitan Chicago area. On June 10, more than 50 HSBC - North America employees partnered with Rebuilding Together - Metropolitan Chicago to paint and landscape the Chicago Association of Retarded Citizens / West Englewood Center. This agency serves some 200 developmentally disabled people on Chicago's south side.

The HSBC staff painted offices, added new ceiling tiles to improve insulation in the client cafeteria, built outdoor benches, did extensive landscaping and added a self-sustaining vegetable garden.

On Thursday June 12, volunteers renovated four homes in Aurora, IL in partnership with Rebuilding Together. Illinois State Representative Linda Chapa LaVia attended the event and visited with HSBC volunteers.

“Joined Up to Give Back” will continue through June 22, where more than 5,100 employees from HSBC's HFC and Beneficial branches, as well as HSBC Credit Centers are giving back to their community by participating in 164 projects around the country.
