AXA Equitable

Congressman Paul Kanjorski, joins AXA Equitable CEO and Chair of The Financial Services Roundtable Kip Condron - along with the group of AXA Equitable volunteers that traveled from New York City to Scranton, PA for the volunteer project with the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority

On Tuesday, July 7, a group of employees from AXA Equitable traveled from New York City to Scranton, Pennsylvania as part of the company's annual AXA Day of Service Project.  The group was joined by Congressman Paul Kanjorski (PA-11), Kip Condron, President and CEO, AXA Financial and Rich Whiting from The Financial Services Roundtable, as they helped the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority clean-up a section of the trailhead of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail.  The volunteers - through a heavy rain storm - cleared a section of the trail, prepared for planting and seeding, and even laid down a truckload of mulch.

As Mr. Condron stated, "AXA Equitable has a rich history of giving back and our employees volunteer and support communities across the country in a variety of ways.  As part of our commitment to Community Service 2009, we are proud to support the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority and the efforts to preserve and develop this part of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail."

The AXA Foundation - the philanthropic arm of AXA Equitable - also made a $10,000 grant to the organization to support their ongoing projects.

Congratulations AXA Equitable!
